PTE OVERVIEW
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) is an international, computer-based academic English language test. In a single session of 3 hours, PTE Academic assesses your listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. PTE Test is endorsed by GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council). PTE Academic is accepted by 1000s of Universities across the globe. The illustrious list includes Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and Yale. Besides, PTE Academic is recognized and accepted by Australia and New Zealand – for visa purpose.
The number of questions (including essays) is lesser, which in a way makes this test a tad easy for some students.
PTE Test Overview:
PTE Academic assesses real-life, English usage via a computer-based test. The test comprises – excerpts from lectures, understanding varied accents (British, American, Non-native), viewing charts and graphs. The Exam comprises testing 4 skills: Listening, Writing, Reading, and Speaking Test Duration is: Takes 3 hours Speaking & Writing entails – personal introduction, read aloud, repeat sentence, describe image, answer short questions, re-tell lecture, essay, and summarize written text. Reading entails – Multiple choice (choose single answer), Multiple choice (choose multiple answers), Re-order paragraphs, Reading (Complete the blanks), Reading and writing (Complete the blanks). Listening entails – Summarise spoken text, Fill in the blanks, Multiple choice (Choose multiple answers), Highlighting the correct summary, Multiple choice (Choose single answer), Select missing word, Highlight incorrect words and Write from dictation.
